I have been nothing but disappointed by the Lure location in Ventura, so I was not exactly looking forward to this. I'm very glad to be wrong! We came with a huge party, like 18 or something. Our server took it in stride, joking with us, attentive, super friendly, just an excellent server. The food was quite good. We tried a bunch of appetizers, chowder, salads, and everything was made well and tasty. I had the lobster ravioli. The flavor was on point and the portion was large! Lobster ravioli isn't always enough to leave you feeling stuffed, but I was. We ended the evening with a few desserts - the key lime pie was my favorite. Absolutely delectable. I don't know if I've just been unlucky in the past or if this Lure is the real deal, but I would happily come back here. My mind has been changed!

Went here for a date night with my hubby. I’ve been to both the Westlake and Camarillo location and have had positive experiences. The server was awesome and recommended a lot of great things for us. I started with a strawberry breeze cocktail, which is one of my favorites. It has great flavor without being too overpowering. My husband got a beer. They serve you fresh delicious sourdough bread, and butter to start. We then got started with the spicy ceviche. I’m not a spicy person so the server recommended. We got the spicy salsa on the side. It was delicious with plenty of fresh vegetables, and large pieces of white fish and shrimp. I then got the Sally Sandabs with the pesto cauliflower and a potato cake. I requested extra lemon sauce because it’s so delicious. My husband got a breaded fish with a potato cake and clam chowder as his sides. They also have a great happy hour too! We will definitely be back as we were very satisfied yet again.

A fantastic experience. Ordered the fish and chip combo with shrimp and a sampling of their oysters. The batter on the fish was light and crisp as it should be. Everything came out super fast too! My server was knowledgable of all the oysters and got me to try each of them. Each was fresh and an experience! Highly recommend.

I like this place so much, coming back 2-3 times a week. Happy hours great, sometimes too busy, overall experience outstanding. Been a customer for 10 years +. Highly recommended 👌🏻

Lure Fish House in Westlake Village is surprisingly affordable for a very decent restaurant inside of a business area. You get a few cuisines in this one restaurant: Italian, American, and last but not least Asian. Their fresh caught dishes are Delicious and so are many other variety of choices. My favorite so far is the fish filet dish attached to my post. If you are local you know what I mean. If you are traveling here and just hungry and want good food, try this out. Service has been warm and inviting. The place can be busy based on the time of visit. So check online or call in. You can book ahead.

Not sure where to begin. Wonderful atmosphere, very open. I was solo both times on this trip so I sat at the bar. Greeted happily by both the host and bartenders. The crab cake appetizer with remoulade was amazing. Good portion over some greens. Then the lobster roll puts New England to shame! This was a monster sandwich, not the tiny ones you get at festivals. Perfect blend of lobster, mayo, and seasonings.. not fishy at all and just the right amount of mayo. 2nd night I had the calamari appetizer... lightly dusted and not greasy. Yum. The shrimp spicy ceviche as my entree was amazing... it's got some definite kick so be wary if you're not a spicy person. And finally the key lime pie sent me into a state of euphoria. Huge portion, very tangy. Needed to be wheeled out I was so full. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the lovely Ariel. She didn't even serve me! Just passing by I made one of my casually stupid jokes 😃 she stayed and chatted with me and what a wonderful woman. I'm certain she is one of your top servers. With an attitude and face like that, how could she not be. Thank you for two exceptional dining experiences. Chris

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Everything we ordered was excellent: preparation, plating, temperature, and of course, taste. Add to that a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and Lure Fish House is the place for high-end meals. Is it expensive? Yes, but well worth the price. Also, ask for Cortni – she’s the best! One thing to keep in mind is that parking can be difficult to find close to the entrance, especially during busy times. More parking is available in BFE if you don’t mind walking.

Decided to stop by at Lure for lunch today. We got the Rock Shrimp Appetizer (I always get the sauce on the side) and it was delicious. We both got the lunch special fried fish sandwich with fries. The fried cod at Lure is always delicious. The fries were perfect, I order them extra crispy. I didn't love the coleslaw on the sandwich as it had chunks of pineapple in it and was too sweet for me but if you like sweet slaw, you may enjoy it. Their tartar sauce is really good so next time I'll get the coleslaw on the side..and always an extra side of tartar sauce to dip the fries in, too.
